I supposedly already had a dreamwidth account, but it wouldn't let me log in or even change my password or do anything else to correct whatever the problem allegedly was that kept producing an endless string of error messages every time I tried to post a comment on someone else's post. So I've just jumped through all the hoops to create an entirely separate new account all over again. Let's hope this one works.
